I'm back!!!

Hello everyone! I am so sorry about my absence over the past few months. There were a few personal issues as well as my final semester of nursing school, graduation and a HUGE test. I apologized for neglecting a few company reviews (which will be posted shortly) as well as giveaways. It was not my intention to take such a long period of time off. However I am BACK!! I have a few DIYs to post as well as some exciting opportunities.

Pampers Kandoo Review and Giveaway!

As part of my Boogie Wipe review, I was also able to review a newer line called Pampers Kandoo. They are a kid friendly line of products to encourage kids to get clean on their own. I was able to review the Pampers Kandoo Foaming Hand Sanitizer and Flushable wipes. I LOVED them and I will be buying them.

The hand sanitizer makes your hands soft and it won't create dryness because it kills germs without ALCOHOL! It also contains Vitamin E and natural fruit extracts to moisturize skin. It comes in this great KID FRIENDLY bottle. It has a large pump with a cute frog on top of the bottle! (pictured below) It is also non-sticky like some foam sanitizers can be!

 

The flushable wipes were also a hit in my house. They are for sensitive skin. Perfect for delicate hineys. I was able to review the unscented pack and fell in love with them. They are just what you need to feel fresh. Plus they are sturdy so no worries on that end!

Boogie Wipes Review and Giveaway!

For those of you who have little ones, work around little ones, or even are just around little ones, know the frustrations of boogers. Brothers-All-Natural Fruit Crisp Review and Giveaway

I had the pleasure of reviewing a variety of Brothers-All-Natural Fruit Crisps.

These are DELICIOUS bite size fruit crisps. My favorites were the Fuji Apple with a touch of Pure Cinnamon. Other flavors which were just as great that I had the opportunity to try were the Fuji Apple, Asian Pear, Mixed Berry, Strawberry, and Strawberry Banana. I shared these with my husband who also LOVED them. He already established that we WILL be purchasing them in the future. We are both trying to get back in shape and lose some weights and we were so excited to see that each of these packs only contains up to 40 calories. With the Fuji Apple Cinnamon crisps, I let them melt in my mouth before I chewed them and the texture felt like a real apple! So many products I have tried that were either too dry and crunchy or didn't taste like the type of fruit that was advertised but not these! They were soft and crispy not dry and crunchy. Below is what the crisps look like!

Another cool thing about this product is that they also come packaged with Disney characters on the bags! It advertises to young children which we all know may need a little encouragement when eating healthy food.

Zymbiotix Review and Giveaway

A little over a week ago I received a bottle of Zymbiotix. It is a once a day pill that cleanses your colon. I have only been trying Zymbiotix for such a short period of time and I am already seeing results. I have managed to loose right at two pounds and have seen an increase in energy. Hello everyone! After a few days hiatus and a brief glitch in being able to post anything..I'M BACK!

Some new things..I will be advertising more giveaways to help support fellow bloggers, I will try my hardest to post once a day, and I will be posting even more of my own reviews and giveaways!

With my semester starting back two weeks ago, it took me a while to figure out how to work everything into my schedule..so now that that is done...STAY TUNED!

Salonpas Review

Salonpas is a great product to review! As you can see I was given the opportunity to review multiple products from them. It was such a surprise to receive this number of products that I was also able to recruit my husband into helping me review them.

We are both in occupations where we are consistently on our feet for prolonged periods of time. So we seem to always be complaining about an ache here or there. While using these products, they seemed to work more than others like it that we have tried. I love how you can use the products on one are of your body and feel the direct results. I also like how the  Jet Spray is not greasy. So many of the pain relieving products are greasy and make you feel like you should shower as soon as you put them on. But not Salonpas. I also like how long these patches work. Many products that I have tried only work for an hour or so (if that) and then I have to find another option to relieve my pain. My husband is the same way. We both loved the way that these products felt and will continue to use them even after our samples run out! I have already recommended them to several family members that deal with pain from arthritis!

Skoy Cloth Review

Skoy Cloth gave me the opportunity to review their awesome product! They sent me two packs of their cloths to try out and I love them! They are a great alternative to a paper towel. Especially since my household seems to go through a roll a day! (That was an exaggeration but still).  These products arrived in these cute little sets of four and I just couldn't wait to try them! They are the equivalent to 15 paper towels and they are ecofriendly! You could save so much money by just using these. A four pack like the one I received goes for $6.99! (link goes directly to where you can purchase them!)

What I loved about these products is that they are sturdy. They can be used with a cleaning detergent and they can be put in the DISHWASHER and WASHING MACHINE. Now that's my kind of cloth. These cloths can also be placed in a MICROWAVE while damp to sterilize them. You can't just do that with any old sponge.

I used these cloths on numerous surfaces throughout my house. First up was the kitchen where you can see in the pictures below is where I first started with them. They were great on my counters. Some of the tougher spots needed a little extra loving without a cleaning product, but when I added one, they came right up. These cloths tackled little messes like a pro! They also soaked up some spilt water on the counter and I didn't even have to wipe. I just placed the cloth on the mess, left it on the water for a second and when I lifted up the cloth..There was no more water!! I also used these on my coffee table in my living room. They were gentle enough that they didn't mess up the surface and they didn't make a complete mess because they weren't dripping wet with water like sponges sometimes can be..Even after you wring them out.

I have told everyone about this product. I gave one to my mother after she saw how great they were. I would recommend this to anyone I meet. I may even just intercept the next person I see buying paper towels at the store!

Bella Mama Review and Giveaway

I had the opportunity to recently review the Bella Bundle Gift Set from Bella Mama. Included in the set were Belly Oil, Belly Butter, Face and Body Spritzer and Foot Salts. These are all really great products!

I used the Belly Oil and Belly Butter right after I finished showering and before I went to bed. The products were not greasy like some are and they made my skin feel smooth and soft. Elante Day Spa and Salon

Yesterday I finally used a gift certificate that I received last Christmas (a nice lady was kind enough to extend my expiration date :)) I had the Elante facial and the Sweedish massage. I went to their new location, located in Lexington, SC. It was once a pediatricians office (which I had been in) and boy did they do some upgrades.

As soon as you walk in you are hit with a quiet relaxing atmosphere. The lights are dim and there is soft music playing in the background. There is adequate and very comfortable seating in the waiting area. Once called back I was then taken into my room where I recieved both the facial and massage..I did not have to change rooms which was a major plus.

I was given plenty of time to change into my cover-up and get situated under the warm blankets.

First was my Elante facial. It lasted what seemed like a hour but was probably 30-45 minutes..or it may have been an hour..I wasnt keeping track :) It was very relaxing. I had numerous creams and cleansers put on my face while receiving a gentle massage of both the face and neck/shoulder area. Plus you get a touch of gloss on your lips when they are done. The only thing that I didnt like was the moisturizer which I believe they put on me at the very end. It was thick and I was not a big fan of it. My face felt heavy. However it was a very pleasant experience.

My massage came second. Now I had a very pleasant masseuse but the bed was new to her and she couldn't figure out how or if it even maneuvered to where I had the face cut out..even though it was supposed to so I had to lay on the bed flat. However she did spend an extra ten minutes on my neck when I was done with my massage to work out any kinks from lying like that for so long.

My massage consisted of light and moderate pressures all over my body. It was heavenly. I probably could have slept if I had not had to lay in an slightly awkward position. My massage lasted an hour and I had this lovely lightly citrus scented lotion put on my body while being massaged.

I would go back, but when I did I would try their other services. I think I may enjoy a deep pressure massage better. But overall I would give them an A and recommend them to my friends and family.

Cheesy Wild Rice Soup

This is one of my NEW favorite soups for a chilly wet day.

1 box of instant or quick Wild rice ( I use Uncle Ben's)
Tyson chicken strips (cook them to your style)
4 cups of milk
8oz. Velveeta cheese cubed
1 can of condensed (non-diluted) potato soup
Extra shredded cheese
bacon crumbles if wanted

SIDE:
quick mix Italian Herb bread...AMAZING and it takes less than an hour to fix!


cook the rice as directed on package
cook your chicken strips (if wanted) as wanted
combine your milk, cheese, cooked rice and soup, bring to boil and then turn heat down until cheese is melted. Add additional cheese if wanted.

Make bread according to box while soup is cooking.

Taco Stuffed Shells

As a New Year resolution, my husband and I have vowed to try and not to eat out as much and to have "healthier" meals at home.

I used 1lb of ground beef instead of turkey..my taste preference
I also added a bit more taco seasoning..to taste and two shakes of chili powder..yes I did not do specifics :)
I also added 2 cups instead of 1 cup of taco sauce..it made it juicer.

I also had extra shells left over so I tossed them in olive oil and froze them for another meal!

Eylure Lashes Review

I recently had the opportunity to try eylure lashes. I did this trial for run for another fellow blogger, and my Aunt, Kellys Thoughts on Things.

I wore them both on New Years Eve and throughout the day on New Years Day. I found them very easy to apply. They blend in very well with your natural eyelashes and they are contact friendly!

First you apply your make up like you would normally. Then you apply the adhesive to the eyelash you are applying. Then you wait 30 seconds until the white color of the adhesive turns to clear. You apply them right above (however close to your eye lash line as you can get) your lashes. I added some extra liner because I found that you could still see the white strip that the fake lashes were attached to, but once I applied the extra liner the white couldn't be seen! I then used a lash brush to join my lashes with the fake lashes to make them appear more cohesive. The end result was awesome! I recommend these to everyone!

Eylure lashes were first developed by a partnership of makeup artists and costume designers, David and Eric Aylott, who began making lashes as well as wigs, beards and moustaches for some of the biggest names in the film industry. Their Eylure lashes proved popular with some many Hollywood leading ladies such as Marlene Dietrich, Joan Collins, Ingrid Berman, Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor, famo...usly creating her legendary look as Cleopatra.

Eylure lashes were revered for creating an instant effect on camera, far better than any other makeup product. Little did they know at that point that they were on the verge of perfecting the biggest news in beauty enhancement since the discovery of the lipstick!

Word has spread quickly throughout the film industry and their eyelashes were in high demand, so in 1948 they decided to make their famous lashes available from retail shops.

By the 1960s Eylure had become established as a must-have item when the emphasis for false lashes changed from film to regular, everyday wear - becoming a beauty essential. Since then Eylure has continued to rise in popularity and is now firmly established as a celebrity favourite
